Jed and the student worksheet/answer grid below.
The associated document/worksheet for this activity can be downloaded as a pdf file.
Divide the class into four groups. One group should draw up a list of jobs where an ability to communicate is important. The others focus on numeracy, IT and working with others. Groups should try to make sure that their list covers a wide range of jobs at different levels.
Use the grid with job titles across the top and skills down the side to help you identify the skills that the workers have. Put a tick in the box to show which skills a worker has and explain why. You can look up the job title in Jed and use the information to help you.
